Taking Human Settlements to the people: City’s Roadshow visits Fisantekraal, other areas this month

The City’s Human Settlements Roadshow will be visiting residents in Fisantekraal tomorrow, 5 October 2023, and a number of areas in the coming weeks. City officials are assisting residents with their human settlements enquiries and will visit more areas soon.

‘My aim is to create a human settlements space where no one is left behind. This requires our Directorate to be accessible, honest and transparent with every community. We need to be innovative and look through a new lens to ensure we make Cape Town a home for all. As one of our ways to bring our offerings closer to our residents and to hear first-hand the often unique but also shared challenges of our residents, we encourage residents to visit a roadshow when we reach their area. This month, we will be in Maitland, Bonteheuwel, Eerste River, Valhalla Park and Retreat. Since the launch of our Human Settlements Drive, we have assisted hundreds of residents right on their doorstep and we look forward to making our way to the remaining areas in the months to come.

‘Our team of experts is committed to delivering Human Settlements services and we thank all teams for their hard work and dedication over the recent weeks,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Councillor Carl Pophaim.
